Bode's Galaxy is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. Its structure features two spiral arms rich in dust, indicating numerous regions of active star formation.
The Cigar Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy with intense star formation, also located in Ursa Major. Its core contains a supermassive black hole with a mass of 30 million solar masses. The Cigar Galaxy is tilted about 80 degrees relative to Earth, giving it an elongated appearance, which is how it earned its name.
