This is not just a gas cloud, but a Wolf-Rayet bubble. At its center lies an extremely hot and massive star (WR 7), which is in the final stage of its evolution. It ejects a colossal amount of material in the form of a powerful "stellar wind," which collides with the surrounding interstellar gas and inflates this glowing bubble. In my case, the target reached a maximum altitude of only 23 degrees. I captured it over two consecutive nights during a brief window when it could be caught between light pollution and thermal convection from nearby houses. The weather allowed me to gather a bit more data on the torus. The colors were challenging, so I made two versions: one with a hydrogen background and one without.
