The bright object with the amusing name "Blue Snowball," cataloged as NGC 7662, is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Andromeda. It is highly luminous, and its blue disk is clearly visible through a telescope. Key characteristics of the object:

Distance from Earth – about 2,500 light-years or slightly more (according to recent data from the Hubble Space Telescope).
It has a smooth oval shape.
Star temperature – 75,000 K.
It has two shells, one of which is expanding, resembling a stellar wind.
