And where do the rays on the bright stars come from? And the other stars look suspiciously reddish...

Two threads, stretched crosswise to create rays. And what color should the stars be?

Wow, you guys are something else!
People with reflectors hide the spikes using different masks, while people with refractors deliberately add them. Why?
And stars are different—at least that's how it turned out for me. But here, the whole field is filled with identical orange ones.

Everyone has their own preference. I have both types of telescopes. I like the rays more in both... And here, not all the stars in the field are the same color; there are also blue ones if you look closely.
