The planetary nebula DeHt5 in Cepheus, also known as PK 111+11.1.
It was discovered in 1979 during the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS). The blue star at the center of the blue-green OIII-rich region is said to be the central star of the PN: UCA3 322:74172 (white dwarf WD 2218+706). Beverly Lynds cataloged the brighter part in 1965 as LBN 538. The distance to DeHt5 is estimated to be 1,300–1,600 light-years. Some reports from that time suggest the inner morphology of DeHt5 has been disrupted by interaction with the interstellar medium (ISM). It has been proposed that it has been interacting with the ISM for over 74,000 years. Radio polarization images show a long "tail" trailing behind DeHt5 in the direction opposite to the motion of its white dwarf.
