An interesting, large galaxy, and it turned out well. It's a shame it only rises slightly above the horizon for me. I also liked VeraLux. It works well as a rough histogram stretch before separating stars from the background.

Thanks, but even at 44 degrees latitude, it's no higher than 20 degrees above the horizon. The script pulls out details well, but I don't use star and background separation for most galaxies. I've tried it many times with separation—the result is almost always worse.
