Yes, one of the best views of Jupiter I've seen on a 10" scope. I can definitely see the advantage compared to my 8" tube.

Thank you! I learned to shoot on an 8" Newtonian, and when I started getting decent results, I took the risk of moving up to a 10" and haven't regretted it. Of course, the seeing requirements are higher for a 10", but it's worth it.

I didn't upgrade because the HEQ5 mount really should have been replaced when moving up to an EQ6. There's room for improvement, judging by the photos!

That's true! But that's always the case when moving to a larger aperture. My EQ6-R can still handle an 11", but a 12" is already too much.

There is an option to switch to C11.

I'd like to try a 12", but I don't have the opportunity yet.

For planets, your EQ6 mount will handle it just fine. The main thing is that the optics don't let you down—as for the atmosphere, that's already out of our hands :)

If your desire and capabilities align, it's better to make the switch. The difference between an 11" and an 8" is significant; you'll immediately notice an improvement in rendering fine details. This will be apparent even when observing the Moon at the same focal lengths.

I completely agree with you, but it's not possible for me right now. The HEQ5 serves as my universal mount for both planetary and deep-sky imaging. If I were to upgrade further with it, the C9.25 could be a possible next step for advancing my lunar and planetary photography.

Not bad either.
