Tired of popular targets, I decided to shoot some faint objects, even though the sky wasn't great. I captured M95, M96, M105, NGC3384, and NGC3389. I modified my triplet, shortened the tube, and added diaphragms. Now I can shoot with the SVBONY SV209 0.8x reducer—the focal ratio improved to f/5.6, and the focal length decreased to 640mm. The stars became more round without spikes.
