Pleiades (M 45, other names — Seven Sisters, Stozhary) — an open star cluster and asterism in the constellation Taurus. This cluster is one of the closest to Earth and one of the brightest star clusters. The Pleiades have been known since ancient times and are visible to the naked eye even in urban skies.
