I also prefer the one from February 10th. Here, the bands have crept in on the left and right, leaving no room to crop — the galaxies will end up right at the edge...

Yes, there are some stacking artifacts. But with a smaller crop and a stretched background, it should be fine. You can crop a bit and darken locally, and it will look okay.
