Fun Facts !
It owes its name to the elongated dust clouds that resemble tadpoles swimming towards the center of the object.
These are active star-forming regions, giving rise to new stars over time.

Most of the nebula's gas is illuminated by the brilliant open star cluster NGC 1893.
This cluster contains at least 4600 young stellar objects.

The Tadpole Nebula extends over 100 light-years.
