Fun Facts !
The Rosette Nebula is an active nursery of stars relatively close to us.
NGC 2244 is actually part of the Rosette, and it's the ultraviolet radiation from the stars in this cluster that ionizes the nebula's hydrogen (HII region), giving it its red hue.
