Moon (69.6%) - 29.12.2025 18:58 UTC+05. The central part of the Montes Alpes mountain range with the crater Plato (101 km) and Vallis Alpes (155 km) – a unique graben, one of the most interesting lunar formations. On the floor of Vallis Alpes, a thin rille is faintly visible – a very challenging object requiring good optics, excellent weather conditions, and appropriate illumination. In the lower left corner of the frame is a section of Mare Imbrium with its "islands" – the isolated mountains Mons Pico (height 2450 m) and Mons Pico β. At the top right is Mare Frigoris.

Taken from a 4th-floor loggia window. Celestron Advanced GT, Celestron C-8A XLT, SvBony Barlow 3x and UV/IR-cut 1.25", SvBony SV705C (ROI 1920x1080). SharpCup, AutoStakkert – 200/1000 frames, Photoshop.
