NGC 281 (Pacman) — an emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia, composed primarily of ionized hydrogen. Discovered by E. Barnard in 1881. Located at a distance of about 10,000 light-years from Earth, with a diameter of approximately 50 light-years. It is a region of active star formation.
