I wanted to add another 5 hours of exposure, but I remembered that the telescope had been modified, and the diffraction spikes on the stars wouldn’t match. So I reprocessed the old data instead.

You can try stacking them as they are with different rays, then remove the stars and use the star mask from this stack. Before removing the stars, register the two stacks to each other so that the frame size and position match exactly, and then work with them.

I thought about it, but removing stars during galaxy processing is not recommended—you lose hydrogen detail. So I'll leave it as is for now.

Well, it's worth trying something new. You definitely won't lose much detail, and you'll add more through accumulation.
