As always, great detail, but this version compared to the previous one just doesn't work.
We need to revert to the previous one and just tweak the color balance a bit.
Do you use PI? Do you use SPCC?
In this version, the yellow central region stands out very contrastingly with its mottled appearance against the blue-green arms.

Yes, I use it. Right after WBPP and GradientCorrect.

Green should not be present. I removed it using SCNrov.

The blue spots really stand out and look unusual. They can be removed by reducing saturation, but then the color will almost completely disappear.

It's still hard to perceive a galaxy on its side—I wonder what causes such an orientation? Why not turn it into a more familiar horizontal position?

My camera sensor axes seem to be aligned with RA and DEC.
I usually position it as the object appears in the sky.
And the galaxy itself is elongated along DEC.
