First light with the new self-assembled mount, The Monty UCH-1411DF.
A strange guiding glitch occurred, where the guide star jumped between two closely positioned stars and pulled the telescope off target (38 frames ruined), and the aurora did its best to interfere. It almost succeeded.
If you ignore that guiding glitch, the mount performs not just well—perfectly for this setup. RMS under 2"—that's less than a quarter of a pixel.
