About what I'm doing

Astrophotography for me is first and foremost a hobby and a field for experiments. My main occupation is writing software. For this reason, I do not pursue beauty and artistic perfection in astrophotography, but try to make my software perfectly to do what I need.

If you are looking for beautiful and colorful pictures made with AI and manipulations, like removing stars and creating collages, this is not for me. My photos are completely natural, there is nothing in them except what the camera and telescope saw. Processing does not distort reality and does not bring into the photos anything that was not there. They may lose in terms of spectacle, but they definitely win in documentary. This is my conviction and principles.

I have been developing software for astrophotography for more than 10 years. My product - PGMania is a comprehensive solution for astronomers, covering most of needs for astrophotography software.
