Well, Affinity seems to have saved the situation quite well. Sure, there's still a boiling background, but this time I like the result much more. I think I'll leave it as is for now; in the future I might dig into it some more — after all, with 4 hours there's plenty of room to work with — but for now I'm satisfied with it as is. Actually, I tried to process it so the background wouldn't boil, and it even worked out, but the oxygen shell of the crescent shows poorly with that, so it is what it is.

Well, I planned to collect more, but it is what it is. Overall, I kind of like the processing, but also something seems to be missing, idk, I think in the futur…
If I ran it through nXt and bXt, it would be absolutely fire, judging by the fact that the material is good. Yesterday I reprocessed the crescent moon using these plugins, and I was even blown away by the difference — and oxygen shows up about twice as much.
Well, unfortunately, I'm a poor student with Pix 1.8 cracked, although it seems BXT, NXT, etc. already work without PixInsight

Yes, now you can buy it separately, the price is $189. We split it three ways, so it comes out to $65 each, not that much. The processing turns from suffering into pleasure, and it saves time too. The plugins work through Siril. I myself only just started using it; before that I was also using a cracked Pix.
Can you provide a link to the FITS file? I'd like to run it through and see what comes out myself. We could even combine your material and mine. I recently tried it in PixInsight—it's not that hard.)
Actually, most likely such terrible coma on the left side of the frame is because I shot over two nights and on the first night the secondary mirror was slightly shifted to the side, which made the left part of the stack very mushy, especially the stars

There's not enough oxygen, I did what I could, I'm not much of a processor myself) and your processing is quite decent, I didn't achieve any impressive difference.
Well, the difference in dust processing isn't that big, but... the detail — I honestly couldn't even believe it was my stack, yeah it looks a bit artificially smooth, but still all the details are really there in my version too, just more soapy, and something in my soul started wondering whether BXT and NXT are actually worth it after all.
I didn't combine them, I was afraid of coma, I don't think anything decent would come out, but if you want to try it yourself, I can give you a link to my fit.
