Good question and a valid point. Perhaps the filter cut out all the other colors.

I didn't cut them; there's simply less signal in these lines and the camera sensitivity is lower. Bring them out through processing.

Not sure if it will work out. Maybe you could suggest how to do this carefully without adding anything extra.

First, separate the channels and check the signal in blue and green. Then try processing the channels separately, and afterward blend them, experimenting with the ratio in the final image.

The "Flame" Nebula is nowhere near here. It's located near Zeta Orionis, where the Horsehead Nebula is.
