I observed it on March 15, 16, and 18, so the location was already dialed in. First, I found Venus with 10x50 mm binoculars, then aimed through the telescope's finder scope. At 18:40 Moscow time, the altitude was about 7 degrees; by the time I finished shooting, it had dropped to 5 degrees.
The phase was 0.014 (1.4%), my personal record. At 18:55 Moscow time, it set behind the roof of a house.

Yes, a serious approach is needed; you can't just see Venus easily right now. Clear skies!
