IC 1396 is a massive emission nebula and active stellar nursery located about 2,400 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Cepheus. It contains the so-called "Elephant Trunk Nebula" (just above the centre). This image was captured in dual-narrowband with red showing the hydrogen regions and blue the oxygen regions. It covers an area of about 6 full moons in the night sky. Image captured on my Celestron 8" Edge HD telescope with Hyperstar F1.9 lens and Optolong Astronomy L_Para filter into an Altair Astro 26C camera via SharpCap, and processed with RC Astro tools in Pixinsight. 180 x 30 second exposures.
