Thank you for sharing your photos - this is exactly what this project is all about! :-)
You know, I was thinking—I have this profile picture, but you still don't know the backstory of why this particular photo is there. So here I am, setting things straight. This 30th, anniversary post will be my VERY FIRST space photo! I shot it through the eyepiece of my little 130650 ek2 telescope, using the stock 25mm eyepiece. I still remember that moment clearly—when I finally caught the image! And it even came out sharp, which was a special thrill amid the shaky, jumping view from hand tremors, blackouts, and glare... But I did it! It's just one photo, but there were dozens before it... That’s when I realized nothing works without persistence.
Oh, you took me back about 10 years too. I also used to shoot the Moon through an eyepiece with a 130/650 EQ2. I remember my first clear shot—I squealed like a kid! Maybe I should put that on my avatar too!!!
