The Nikon D5200, like all DSLRs, has a filter that blocks hydrogen. I removed it from a D5100, and the image was completely different. If you plan to use the camera only for astrophotography, it's better to remove this IR filter.

Thanks, this camera is just for testing. I plan to upgrade to an ASI camera, a guidescope, a 120 Mini, and a 533MC.
