The comet's altitude above the horizon at the time of capture was less than 14 degrees. There was high-altitude cloud cover, haze near the horizon, plus the Moon had not yet set (phase +0.94). I planned to take 10 one-minute exposures, but one of the original frames had to be discarded during stacking in DSS.
