I'll keep this for the record. A carbon fiber tube for the new telescope (350/1548) was delivered, length 1500mm, outer diameter 400mm. Manufactured using sandwich technology: a layer of carbon, a 5mm layer of structural foam, a layer of carbon. Weight of the empty tube is 6.7kg.
