By a fortunate turn of events, a period of clear nights coincided with the new moon. This, along with the nights gradually growing longer and darker, allowed enough signal to be accumulated over 5 nights. I had been planning to capture the Fox Fur Nebula since last summer, when the weather prevented me from doing so in time. After finishing one of the sessions, just before dawn, while I was packing up my equipment, I was lucky enough to observe a field of noctilucent clouds.
