The closest star to us.
Shot at the Royasand Astrofarm, Namibia, with absolutely no light pollution!
Shot over three nights (consecutively with other objects) on August 20, 21, and 22, 2025.
Interestingly, there is a nebula at the bottom of the frame that is not on the maps. Possibly some effect from the shooting. But it is present in the single frames in all filters (R G B) and on different shooting dates!
Calibration (flats, darks, dark flats) and post-processing in PixInsight, with 2x drizzle.
