NGC 7217
Photo description / processing
Located in the constellation Pegasus. The main features of NGC 7217 are the presence of three optical ring-like zones of stars. It has been suggested that these features were caused by a merger with another galaxy. The distance to NGC 7217 is 60 million light-years. The diameter is 43,000 light-years. The angular size is 4.0' x 3.4'.
