My attempt to capture M42 and NGC1977 in a single frame. The framing didn’t turn out very well, but it is what it is. It’s a shame I didn’t have enough frames—once again, during the sequence, the mount hit its southern limit, and by the time I came back, it was too late to reposition the telescope. The core of the nebula here is stacked from 10-second exposures, because with two-minute exposures the center gets hopelessly blown out.
