More precisely, in NGC5907, about 50 million years ago, a Type II supernova occurred (every schoolchild knows that, unlike a Type I supernova, this means the absence of hydrogen lines in the spectrum), whose light has only now reached Earth and which was given the melodic name SN2026kid. Contrary to all common sense, it was captured during a full Moon.
