Distance is about 5,000 light-years.

Diameter is about 60 light-years.

The star EZ Canis Majoris is expected to eventually explode as a supernova, consuming the nebula.

Apparent size is 35 arcminutes.

Beauty, I dream of capturing it. It's a shame it's a rare visitor at my latitude. This winter season, I wasn't lucky enough to bag it as a trophy. I'm making plans for the next one.
