NGC 3579, frequently associated with the "Statue of Liberty Nebula" (often designated NGC 3576), is a vibrant emission nebula located approximately 9,000 light-years away in the constellation Carina. Situated in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way, this region is a stellar nursery characterized by intense star formation, glowing gas, and dark dust lanes.
