The Double Cluster in Perseus h+χ
An open star cluster in the constellation Perseus, located about 7,500 light-years away from us.
This pair is also widely known as a pair of galactic star clusters cataloged as NGC 869 and NGC 884. The distance between the clusters is only a few hundred light-years, and their age, determined from observations of individual stars, is nearly the same—around 12.8 million years.
