Managed to capture an image of the Sun even in freezing weather!
According to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy (IKI RAS and ISZF SB RAS), the number of geomagnetic storms in the new year is expected to exceed last year's levels. Overall, the increase in geomagnetic storms may continue for at least another two years, until around 2028, after which a rapid decline in all types of solar activity should begin, transitioning into a solar minimum around 2029-2030. For the same reasons, the next two years will be favorable for observing auroras.
