The most amazing fact about the Pleiades cluster, personally for me, is that the nebula surrounding the stars in the Pleiades is not related to the cluster itself, and it is not the remnants of the gas from which these stars formed.
In reality, the cluster encountered a nebula along its path during its motion and is currently passing through it, illuminating it from within.
