If you want to shoot, you shoot with what you have, and if you don't want to, you complain that astrophotography is expensive. The most important thing is to start!!!!!

I completely agree with you) it's difficult but very interesting.

Not bad at all! :) It's just that the background is all greenish-brown and spotty. Is that from light pollution, or can it be minimized?

This is from light pollution. I live in the suburbs of Novosibirsk, and the streetlights nearby are incredibly bright, so yes, it's because of the light pollution.

Yeah, light pollution is a real problem! Maybe there's a chance to drive just a couple of kilometers out of town.

Damn, Siberia is a real pain, the weather is lousy too, plus the greenhouses across the whole region are lighting up the sky.

Oh, I thought it was the opposite. That Siberia is a dark, remote backwater. Even here in the Central Black Earth region, you can hide from the light. Not perfect, of course, but it's possible. And in Novosibirsk... Well, it's a big city, of course. I was there, by the way, for the eclipse in 2008.

No, the greenhouse here lights everything up right away, which is really bad, plus clouds, plus streetlights. By the way, these are exactly the conditions I shot these Pleiades in.
