NGC 3718 is a galaxy of a very unusual shape, gravitationally interacting with NGC 3729, which is the reason for the galaxy's appearance.
The distance to NGC 3718 is about 50 million light years.
Diameter 110,000 light years.
Apparent size 8.1'x4.0'.
