The imaging was done in June 2025 and July 2026. The VeraLux Alchemy script from Siril was used to obtain pseudo SHO. M 16 is located in the constellation Serpens at a distance of about 7,000 light-years. Its physical size is 15 light-years. The overall apparent size is 80'x50'.
