Photo description / processing
While the nights were warm and clear, I decided to finish shooting the Horsehead. To the previous 1.5 hours, over three more nights from 10/28/26 to 10/31/26, I added 4.5 hours of signal, bringing the total exposure to 6 hours 19 minutes. It is even possible that no one has done anything like this before me (at least not posted it for public view), since shooting such an object for six hours with a small achromat of low light-gathering power, using an altazimuth mount and a planetary camera, from a balcony in the city center is unlikely to have seriously occurred to anyone. But for me it was a real challenge, which I accepted with pleasure.
