October 3, 2021 The open cluster M 35 (also known as Messier Object 35 or NGC 2168) is located at a distance of 2,800 light-years in the direction of the constellation Gemini. Its age is estimated to be 110–150 million years. This is a relatively sparse cluster: a region measuring 3.75 parsecs contains a mass of 1,600 to 3,200 solar masses. The cluster is approaching us at a speed of 5 km/s.
