Once again, I'm convinced that even with relatively simple cameras (in this case), you can achieve excellent results.

224 renders colors well. All the new ones with their IR sensitivity distort colors. Or maybe it's due to new technologies. Overall, not a big fan. I also picked up a 662 and I'm itching to test it.

Probably. But with single exposures of 120 seconds and a gain of 61, the color is already clearly visible. I'm also looking at the 662 or, more likely, the 664.

The 664 is essentially the same size as the 178. Yes, I bought the 662, and two days later the 664 dropped in price (annoying, but oh well). I got it for lucky imaging with my 300mm Newtonian, as a complement to my 462 mono, so it will be used for shooting small targets—practically everything fits. Now the 676 has been released with 2nm pixels. It's larger than the 664 and is square.

Good thing we managed to buy it. Looks like soon we'll only be buying cameras secondhand (((

Why? Actually, it's become cheaper now. On the forum, someone was selling a 662 for 16,000—maybe they still are, I should check.

The Chinese have been banned from selling goods with American electronics to Russia. The sensors are not Chinese. But let's hope for the best.

When is this? Well, Sony sensors aren't America.

This is already being discussed on the forum. Alexey from the store is trying to solve this issue. Possibly through other countries.
