Photo description / processing

While there is no clear sky and I have more or less finished everything with automatic processing of the Sun, I decided to refine my thresher for ISS animations.
Shooting was done in haze, seeing weak (2/5 at best moments) - that's why the material sat around a bit, altitude about 60 deg 21.09.2026 17:00 UT.

Thank you! I haven't photographed the ISS in a long time, there was a 2-year break, but now interest has appeared since I made new software for processing.

Good day, what software is this? Can you tell me more about it?

Awesome result!!!

Thank you! This is my own stacker, an analog of AS!4 — almost all computations are performed on the GPU (cuFFT). It's still a raw console core, but I've already managed to reach the level of AS!4, and in some aspects even surpass it.
Although I must admit that AS!4 is written very competently and well optimized for speed (I was surprised to learn that it's written in Delphi using the excellent FastMM5 library).
Now, having my own stacker, I can take any segments from the input video — whether it's the ISS or planets — and automatically stack them, producing well-stabilized images as output.

Are you planning to release the software to the masses? Sounds interesting, I'd like to try it if possible. Now this is really interesting. Not only is the equipment homemade, but the software too!

What does it actually look like in reality? Someone here already posted the ISS with Alice)

I've looked at it with my eyes a couple of times, the details are clearly visible - the eye is actually quite good at doing lucky imaging on the fly.
The color is also visible, the batteries are brown, the small iROSA panels are red-burgundy.
And how about this with the ISS Alis?)

This is when Yandex Alice throws in details https://deepskyhosting.com/Tx1M0Y0 =)

Interesting! But Alice apparently doesn't know that the ISS already has iROSA solar panel segments — she needs to update her database.

This is not a direct generation of the ISS, like "Alice, draw me the ISS." It's adding details based on the original photo. And this generation is the one decent one out of 100 that the AI produced — it was slapping all sorts of things in there. This one is close to the original; the differences are drastic of course, but the phase is right, the meaning is the same. Naturally this won't go into the collection, but I posted it here out of interest — it came out interesting) link to the original, shot a very long time ago. Back then there was no iRosa there

Yes, I understood that this is based on your real image, and you really got a very successful generation.
I tried a similar procedure with Quen from my photo, just out of curiosity — it comes out very graphic and cartoonish, immediately clear that it's hard AI.

Thank you! It really is the real thing)) I'm just waiting for the moment when the new iROSA elements appear.

Thank you! Well, if it's a Thresher, then it should thresh. It grinds turbulence into detail, just as a good combine harvester should.

Thank you! Honestly, I've already tried the old ISS material; if I reprocess it with my new software it would be even better, but that's not sporting - I need to reshoot it better ;)

Can I post it in the astro TG and MAX groups? Because it's quite a masterpiece.

Thanks, not a masterpiece IMHO, but I think it's something new, especially since color animation is much more difficult than single-channel, you can post it with attribution.

Done, the authorship is indicated - https://t.me/dalniycosmos_chat/1/121367 , https://max.ru/dalniy_kosmos/AaFfjgEkV8s , if anything needs to be added or corrected - we'll do it.

It seems that soon you will be able to take clear photos (good enough for a passport ;)) of cosmonauts looking out the porthole.

Thank you! I'm not quite reaching the cosmonauts yet, but if they lean out of the porthole themselves, there'll be a chance :)
