I didn’t understand the part about “especially since these are stars, not some galaxies or nebulae.” These are stars. When talking about SNR on stars versus nebulae, the SNR is certainly higher on stars because they are bright objects. That means you need less integration time to achieve the same SNR, not more. The image was taken as a test of the Askar SQA55 with a crosshair.
The entire message is sarcasm. When I saw the inscription "6h 10m," I was in shock, because I haven't accumulated that much light in my entire life. Plus, if I had spent that much time on just stars, it would have been the 6 most uselessly spent hours of my life.
