So I'm not alone in my suffering with horizontal bands from the 294 sensor)))

They say it's the power supply acting up; in the recommendations it says to lower the USB read speed, though those recommendations were actually for a different camera. Too bad I didn't know about them when I had the 294. Didn't get a chance to try it. And it did band sometimes, badly.

Well, yes. It's such a pain with those bands when the signal is weak!

Hmmm, an interesting thought, I have a mini-ASIAIR, it has USB 2.0, I'll try to check if there will be a difference.

Usually I save myself with more aggressive dithering and a higher number of frames, but I really want to move to newer sensors that are free of these joys)))

I don't know about ASIAIR, but in NINA, at least on my camera, there's a USB limit parameter, and at full it also sometimes starts showing bands, the camera is a Touptek 2600. I found a tip somewhere to reduce the speed - it helped me. In general, people wrote that it could be poor-quality power with noise, and that's exactly when bands appear on a weak signal. Although I mostly powered it from a battery. It's unclear who could be "making noise" besides the camera's own electronics. Although... the mount was also powered from there, so anything's possible.

Here's mine from the battery too, but the thing is, I shoot darks at home, with a 10A power supply, only the mount and the camera are running. And the damn bands still show up)))

Yes, I'm leaning toward that too: it should be 40-50 pixels, not 10-15. But then there will be a thick frame around the image.
