Do you also have a young one? Actually, 2.8 is better, otherwise there will be flares.

I have a Sony FE 85mm F/1.8. It's better not to open it wider than f/2.8 because chromatic aberration and coma will appear. Unless, for bokeh, f/1.8 would be excellent. But why do we need bokeh in DSO astrophotography?
