5 minutes of sub-exposure at such high gain - isn't that too much?
I wonder what the sky background looks like in that case.

This is the working gain at 585. I started shooting back in February during the dark nights. But either the weather was bad or the moon was out, so I couldn't capture more hours. Regarding the background: with 15-minute exposures, the dust didn't increase further. It had already blended into the background. I shot for 40 minutes and then abandoned it. It wasn't suitable for stacking.
