Merging of the galaxies NGC 2207 and IC 2163 in the constellation Canis Major

NGC 2207 is in the process of colliding and merging with IC 2163. But they are still two separate spiral galaxies. They are located at a distance of about 80 million light-years from us. The angular size of NGC 2207 is 3.9'x2.2'. The angular size of IC 2163 is 3'x1.2'.
