It's been a while since I photographed a nebula. NGC 281 (also known as the Pac-Man Nebula) is an emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is a region of ionized hydrogen where active star formation is taking place.
It is located about 10,000 light-years from Earth. Due to its shape, the nebula is nicknamed the Pac-Man Nebula, after the character from the classic arcade video game.
