I decided to start by just aiming for now, but now I think I'll need to really get down to it.

Not bad! And how was the guiding?

Morning Star Replied to Scuttum
Well, basically, there's no way). I have a simple EQ 3-2, and to shoot deep sky, I bought myself the simplest RA motor, probably. There's nothing at all on the declination axis, just hardcore)))

Of course! But it's okay, it's turning out pretty well. The stars aren't blurred, and there's not too much noise.
I'm in the same boat for now. I don't have a camera or autoguider, and there's nothing to connect to a computer yet. I could, of course, mount a "Mizar" guidescope in parallel and guide visually through it, but I'm afraid the mount can't handle that extra weight.
So for now, it seems I'm guiding blind.
